Privacy Policy

PokerFace (the "App")

The developer of the App, Studio Shampoo (the "Developer"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information we do not collect

Your name, phone number, or other information that directly identifies you
Location data
On-device data such as contacts or calendars
Photos, camera, or microphone

Information stored only on your device

To provide the game experience, the App stores the following information only in local storage on your device. This data is not sent to any external server.

Learning progress (table procedure mastery in Poker Basics, guide level)
Game settings (sound, theme, and other preferences)
Session statistics (win rate, VPIP, PFR, and other play metrics)
Session history (recent hand records)

Information sent to our servers

If you use the Online Match mode, the following information is sent to and stored on our servers.

Account information (email address, or the identifier of your Google / Apple / LINE account)
Nickname and avatar settings
Match history and rank (tier, rating points)
Play statistics (aggregated values such as win rate and VPIP)
Connection data (temporary data required to manage WebSocket sessions)

This data is used only to the extent necessary to provide the game experience, and can be erased completely by deleting your account (see Section 7). In guest mode, no account information (such as an email address) is collected.

2. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not provide, sell, or rent your information to third parties.

To operate the Online Match feature, the App relies on the following cloud infrastructure.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — used for authentication (Amazon Cognito), data storage (DynamoDB), and real-time communication (API Gateway WebSocket). Data is stored in the Tokyo region (ap-northeast-1), Japan.

AWS processes data on behalf of the Developer as an infrastructure provider and does not use your data for its own purposes. See the AWS Privacy Notice for details.

3. Advertising

To keep the App free, it displays banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Ads are not shown to Pro subscribers.

AdMob may use the following information to serve ads:

Advertising identifier (IDFA) — collected only if you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt
Basic device information (OS version, device model, approximate region)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

If you choose "Ask App Not to Track" in the tracking prompt shown at first launch, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown before ads are served. You can review or change your choices at any time from the "Ad privacy options" entry in the App's Settings screen. 4. Purchases and Subscriptions

The Pro plan (monthly or yearly) is offered as an in-app purchase (auto-renewable subscription) through the Apple App Store.

Payment information (such as credit card numbers) is handled by Apple. The Developer never receives or stores it.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Subscription status (active/inactive, renewal date) is kept on your device to verify your purchase.

5. Analytics

To improve the quality of the service, the App uses the following analytics tools.

Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

Used to analyze how the App is used, in anonymized form. Data collected:

Screen views (which screens you visited)
Interaction events (tutorial progress, starting and finishing solo sessions, etc.)
Basic device information (OS version, device model, language setting)

This data is processed as statistics that cannot identify you. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected for analytics. See the Firebase Privacy and Security page for details.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)

When the App crashes, diagnostic data is sent automatically to help identify the cause. Data collected:

Stack trace at the time of the crash (technical details of the error)
Device state (memory usage, OS version, etc.)

This data is used solely to improve the App's stability and never to identify individuals.

6. Children's Privacy

Because the App contains simulated gambling, it is intended for users aged 18 and older. The App is not directed at anyone under 18.

7. Deleting Your Data

Data stored on your device can be deleted by:

Uninstalling (deleting) the App
Resetting data from the App's Settings screen

Server-side data tied to an Online Match account (match history, rank, etc.) can be deleted by:

Requesting deletion from Settings → Delete Account in the App
Emailing [email protected]

We erase all relevant server-side data within 30 days of receiving your request. Guest account data is deleted automatically 90 days after last use.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as features and services change. We will notify you in the App of any material changes.
